Success Stories

Meet the animals who we have found new homes or returned to the wild

Ricky

Ricky

Ricky was found unable to fly. After treatment for tapeworm he was returned to the wild.
Toffee

Toffee

Toffee was surrendered for biting. She turned out to be very intelligent and existing in a 'starter cage' drove her near mad with frustration. She now lives in a huge cage with an owner who knows how to keep her happy.
Minnie & Mouse

Minnie & Mouse

Minnie and Mouse arrived separately but became firm friends here. Mouse came in when a family member became allergic to her. Minnie was in a pet shop adoption section advertised as needing to be homed alone. As expected, she mixed brilliantly with others and now lives in a group in her lovely new home.
Murphy

Murphy

Murphy came to us suffering from a virus. He made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Renaldo

Renaldo

Renaldo came to us suffering from a virus. He made a full recovering and has since been returned to the wild.
Nero

Nero

Nero was found unable to fly. He was treated for a problem with his crop and has since been returned to the wild.
Max

Max

Max came to us suffering from a virus. He made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Oops

Oops

Oops was born in our aviary when one of our guests laid a sneaky egg! She has since been released to the wild.
Stirling and Archer

Stirling and Archer

These boys were handed in as their people weren't able to handle them. After neutering they now have a lovely new home with experienced owners and lots of girlfriends.
Rita

Rita

Rita came to us with a severe virus and badly broken wing. We weren't sure she would survive but felt sure she would be here permanently as her wing was such a mess. To our surprise she made an amazing recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Harry

Harry

Harry came to us with a swollen wing. Unfortunately he didn't recover the ability to fly but he is a chilled out sort of chap so he now lives in an aviary.
Blue

Blue

Blue was a lost racing pigeon. He wasn't tame so he was rehabilitated with wild pigeons and has since been released.

In Memory

We work so hard for all our animals but sometimes it’s just not enough. Every loss hurts so we keep their pages up on the website as a tribute to them.
