Success Stories

Meet the animals who we have found new homes or returned to the wild

Martine and Ivan

Martine and Ivan were born in the loft of a house in Wallington. Their habit of stomping about at 5am meant they weren't particularly welcomed so we removed them and advised the householder on preventing future visits. They have since been released.
Arty

Arty

Arty was found with a broken leg. It healed well and he has since been returned to the wild.
Corkbit

Corkbit

Corkbit walked into the kitchen of one of our regular pigeon finders and asked for help when she became unwell. She had crop stasis and a fungal infection which we treated and she has since been returned to the wild.
Cassia

Cassia

Cassia was a domesticated pigeon who got lost. We found her a lovely new home with a male pigeon for company.
Colin

Colin

Colin was shot, likely be pest controllers. We had to dig a pellet out of his leg which was badly broken. He made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Tilly

Tilly

Tilly was found at the side of the road covered in blood. She made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Eden

Eden

Eden was a mess - his feet were tied together with string, he had severe coccidiosis and he'd been attacked and lots of feathers pulled out. Pigeons should not be underestimated though - he recovered fully and has since been returned to the wild.
Storm

Storm

Storm came to us suffering with a virus. She made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Blossom and Robin

Blossom and Robin

Two eggs were brought to us as they were at risk. Out popped two lovely babies who were raised by two of our permanent residents. They have since been returned to the wild.
Bert

Bert

Bert had been trapped in a chimney for 5 days. He insisted he was fine though and demanded his freedom back the next day!
James

James

James came to us suffering from a virus. He made a full recovery and has since been returned to the wild.
Valentina

Valentina

Valentina got a bit lost and confused after leaving the nest. After a bit of care she was returned to the wild.

In Memory

We work so hard for all our animals but sometimes it’s just not enough. Every loss hurts so we keep their pages up on the website as a tribute to them.
