George and Lou

REHOMED – Two shy, gentle male rats who need their confidence built

Name/s: George and Lou
Species: Rats
Sex: Male
Neutered: No
Date of Birth: Estimated January 2016
History George and Lou have had at least two previous homes and unfortunately don’t seem to have found themselves with anyone who understood rats. Their last home loved them dearly but they were first time rat owners and the boys were already troubled so it wasn’t a great fit.
Temperament George and Lou have not been handled until now. They are shy and wiggly but they have gentle natures and have shown no desire to bite. George taste tests quite firmly but he means no harm.
Health The boys arrived with mites and lice for which they have been treated. They appear to be in good health otherwise, though George would benefit from a little weight loss!
Ideal home George and Lou must now have a home which ‘speaks rat’. Someone with the confidence to persist with their handling even when it means calming wiggly boys and getting scratched and piddled on. They would benefit from some confident new brothers and I suspect wouldn’t be too hard to intro as they’re submissive in nature. There are two fabulous snuggle bunnies hiding under the scaredy rat shells and the person who gets to win their trust will be truly blessed.
