All About Oreo

Name/s: Oreo
Species: Rat
Sex: Female
Neutered: No
Date of Birth: Allegedly Oreo is 3 but we suspect she’s around 18 months – 2 years
History Oreo was adopted from a well known pet store in November 2017 so she’s already had at least two homes. In her last home she developed mammary tumours. Sadly her sister died shortly before she arrived here too.
Temperament Fabulous! Friendly, cheeky, affectionate and very young at heart
Health Oreo arrived with three tumours and an abscess – 30% of her body weight was tumour! She has had the tumours removed and is recovering well. Of course, there is always a risk of them coming back.
Ideal home Oreo is still recovering so isn’t ready to leave us yet. But when the time comes she will appreciate a home with some other, older ladies for company. Ideally her new owner will be willing and able to travel to our vet in Crawley for any follow up care, but her care could also be transferred to another vet who is experienced in rat surgery. Her new home must be 5 star. Oreo has been let down enough. She needs to be treated like a princess for the time she has left.

Oreo Updates

Oreo now has a lovely new home 🙂
