Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.

Wildlife advice

Founder Sarah volunteered and worked in wildlife rescue between 1994 and 2002, including as the Animal Care Manager in a large wildlife hospital. She has maintained a strong interest in wildlife care ever since and wanted to put some of her knowledge and experience to use. Frustrated by some of the misinformation and myth around on the internet and frequently approached for advice, Sarah decided to set up a website advising the public on when to help wildlife and providing a directory of wildlife rescues in the UK. Since 2005, the site has grown to list over 700 wildlife rescuers and is used by over 300,000 people a year, receiving referrals from organisations such as the RSPB, RSPCA, and St Tiggywinkles.

Since 2020 the site has run an email HelpDesk, providing bespoke advice and support to casualty finders. With as many as 2000 people a year contacting the HelpDesk, this now takes up much of Sarah’s time.
